چکیده
The study evaluated the effect of supplementation rumen protected choline (RPC) and fat (RPF) alone in combination, injection Vit-E + selenium on feed intake, blood metabolic profile postpartum fertility transition Gir cows. Forty advanced (8 months) pregnant cows were divided into five equal groups (T1 to T5, n=8) managed individually from 30 days prepartum till 60 postpartum. Cows T1 group fed basal diet, those T2 T5 received additional oral supplements RPC @ 45 g/d (T2), RPF 80 (T3), as above (T4) 500 mg Se 15 fortnightly (T5). mean dry matter intake increased significantly by 0, lactation with higher overall value than other groups. glucose levels day calving dropped suddenly around all Plasma total cholesterol was lower T2, T4, it declined lowest values postpartum, which gradually TAG VLDL concentrations 15-20 fold 0 over values, again 5-10 most T3, T4 BHBA or compared uterine involution, first estrus conception rates enhanced nutrient supplements, particular.

The Degrees of Parturient Hypocalcemia and Its Relevance to Other Metabolic Profile Parameters in Downer Cows
At calving time, the cows were monitored and blood samples were taken from jugular vein of 38 cows with parturient paresis and 38 healthy ones. The levels of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, potassium, chloride, glucose, triglyceride, cholesterol, albumin, globulin and A/G ratio were assessed to find the correlation between the degree of hypocalcemia and other parameters. According to ca...
متن کاملThe effect of nutrients on feed intake in ruminants.
The purpose of the present review is to examine the role played by nutrients in controlling feed intake in ruminants, in light of their particular anatomical, physiological, nutritional and behavioural characteristics. The ration is first digested in the rumen for several hours by microbial fermentation. Volatile fatty acids, which constitute 50-75% of a ruminant's energy supply, considerably d...

Objectives were to evaluate effects of feeding a calcium salt rich in linoleic and trans-octadecenoic acids (LTFA) on synthesis of prostaglandin F(2alpha) based on its metabolite (PGFM), uterine involution and pregnancy rates in lactating dairy cows. Five hundred and eleven Holstein cows were blocked according to parity, body condition score and milk yield in the previous lactation. Primiparous...

AIM The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of peripartum protein and minerals supplementation on plasma profile of steroid hormones, metabolites, and fertility in rural buffaloes. MATERIAL AND METHODS A total of 85 advanced pregnant (~8 months) pluriparous buffaloes selected at farmers' doorstep in three tribal villages of Middle Gujarat were randomly divided into two groups, viz...
متن کاملNutrition and Reproduction in Dairy Cattle
Nutrition has an important impact on the reproductive performance of dairy cattle. Energy is the major nutrient required by adult cattle, and inadequate energy intake has a detrimental impact on reproductive activity of the female bovine. Cows under negative energy balance have extended periods of anovulation. Postpartum anestrus, as well as infertility, is magnified by losses of body condition...
